Alright, I think this is the last Entrecard contest I will do for a while. The amount of people who joined is a lot less than I anticipated, especially for 10,000 credits.
As a surprise (thanks to Chato), everyone will get something. Those who participated and didn’t win will receive 25 EC credits. Everyone should have received their prizes, except actiwiz who I can’t find anywhere on EC. So Actiwiz, if you read this please send me a message on EC!

LOL, so you got a lot turn out… How about giving the 11 other contestants a little ec’s love for showing. And for get about using a random winner… you should pick and make the contest real and just a chance thing…
just my 2ec’s

Well, I’m pretty much broke after this. I didn’t have any sponsors so it all so it came out of my pocket
I thought about just picking a winner… but that would be unfair. I would have chosen either the comic or the dog then–which doesn’t seem fair to the people who wrote about the contest and gave links (which is always welcome and important to a contest).

Have to say with all those crazy contests around value of the EC credits seems to have gone down. But most people don’t realize is that those super crazy number are made with giving the same thing 100 times etc. ( 5$ ebook X 100 ) , For me a considerable amount of EC credits are a great motivation because that is lot of advertising

Well I hope you enjoy them.
Spend them wisely
I agree on the other EC contests. Way too many are “$500 contest!!1!!one!!!” then when you go to the blog you see it is some obscure eBooks no one has heard of. Hey, I could write an eBook in 5 minutes that just says ‘BOoyah pickle breath!’ and say that is worth $25. But hey, I won’t.

I have a great respect for a person that can see the value in honoring a contest even when the turn out was so low. Thank you for the kind surprise, if i had the ec’s I would put my ad on your site. I do believe that to be a flaw with the system. I would rather be able to control my ad’s value or at least base it on real blog traffic. I wonder if a programmer could design a custom counter to add to the widget …. Well this is the place to talk about this… i just want to say thanks and in a feww week I just might give you a little surprise… lol

lol I meant not the place to talk about it…
OH, for your next contest just add tell ppl that it will run for a set time or until you have a set number of ppl… Ex: 30 days with 100 ppl or until you get just wait till you get 100 ppl.
Just a thought…

I’m not sure if that would have helped at all. People don’t view 10,000 credits to be all that much anymore. In the first EC contest I gave 2,000 credits… which was a heck of a lot and ran it for not as long of a time… yet got around 40-50 people join, mostly all gave linkbacks.
I really don’t think there will be a next time, at least not in the current state. Maybe if the value of them go back up (which I doubt that will happen soon). I will just run contests for other products/services instead. They seem to do better anyway.

Congrats to the winners!
Is this right? “nishadha - 1000 credits” I thought you say 10,000 EC Winner? A typo?

Oh,No…
How I missed this contest? I think you should consider to combine the prize hard cash + EC credits. People are more interesting to join the contest with hard cash money..

How would giving money out convert into more regular readers? That doesn’t make sense.
