Why impNERD?

impNERD stands for Internet, Marketing and Publishing. Although impNERD is really much more than that. I am a full fledged nerd and proud of it. I’ll bring the best news and information to nerds on books, movies, tv shows, web development, and technology.

My achievements

Not exactly sure I would call them achievements, but projects that are forever growing. PoemofQuotes has been a prize possession, Yumtio.us is a continued project, and EyeofDesign is a lame duck which I am planning on furthering/changing in the future.

I have been doing web development for going on 6 years; three years with heavy PHP and JavaScript, 5 years with CSS, and 6 years HTML, and two years AJAX.

I am always looking for new sources to learn upon and love catching up on the latest Gadgets and Gizmos.

History of impNERD

impNERD was previously apart of ChickenCamels (a subdomain of poemofquotes) before becoming part of its own monster. As you can see, being a subdomain had its own limitations. I wasn’t able to gain the trust of visitors without telling them every time why exactly I was using a subdomain instead of a separate domain. It was harder to remember, advertise and as I said, convince others.

Now that impNERD has come of its own I am allowed to do much more with its content. Since its conception on December 6th I have been able to run additional tests I would have not been able to on ChickenCamels–advertising, goals, layout, .htaccess, furthering WP plugins, themes, etc.
