Over the past few years going green has been more important than ever. Luckily, it is also easier than ever to start going green today. Even by making just a few simple changes it’ll do great things for both the environment and our monthly budget. But how do we do it?

What we can start doing different right now is to turn off the lights when we leave the room, turn our thermostat to 68°F (if in the winter) or 78°F (if in the summer), take shorter showers, and turn off our computers at night. This alone will make a huge impact. However, there is even more we can do by spending just a few dollars now to save a few dollars in the future and start creating a brighter future for our children and grandchildren.

It is important to remember the three R’s when trying to do anything green: Reduce, reuse, and recycle. If you read about a green product you wish to purchase but already have one which uses more energy or water, try to recycle it or give it to someone who needs it.
