Open Office has been around for over five years now, but just within the past few months has it gotten much of its publicity, and rightfully so. OpenOffice is an office suite which gives the same features as Microsoft Office, but cheaper and lighter.
The built-in features are amazing and offers just as much as Microsoft, but much much more. You are able to save documents and read documents in every Microsoft Office format (and able to read the funny characters it provides) along with using the open source format.
Open Office is a gem. If you have a child student or just want to write, get OpenOffice. It’s free and easy to use. Don’t miss out.
