My parents live in Kansas and have seen more snow this year than many years past. OK, MO and IA have all had nice snow storms. Not sure what part of the midwest you are in, but from what I have heard/seen on the news, it seems just the opposite than what you have stated.

For us southern hemisphere folks, it doesn’t really look very Christmas like…
Beautiful! But with the warm weather last week finally melting snow that had been on the ground since before Christmas I now have spring fever. The sunny days were addictive!
I live in central Texas, so it was in the mid 70’s last week.
I miss the snow… spring can wait!
