My Hardware: Compaq Presario and Targus

I decided to post what hardware I’ve been using for the past year and a half and held up quite nicely. I’ve virtually had no problems except from heat, which only happened before I upgraded the RAM to 2GB using Kingston.

Specs:
14″ widescreen
2GB RAM
40GB hard drive
1.8GHz Mobile AMD Sempron 3000+
ATI Radeon Xpress 200M
DVD-ROM/CD-RW combo drive
Windows XP Home Edition, SP2
5 pounds

This isn’t the exact notebook I have, but it is close enough:

For the mouse I use a crappy Targus laser mouse ($50). I thought the lithium rechargeable batteries would last quite a while, but boy was I wrong. The batteries die out about every two or three days, even if I turn it off when I’m not using it.

As for a keyboard, I’ve been using both a Compaq and a Microsoft ergonomic board depending on what the situation is (which one is in use by someone else when I need it).
