A young internet geek, Marek W., created a software which will automatically place a web page at the #1 result in Google for any given word. The young Polish fellow admittedly used the technology to rank the official website of the Polish President Lech Kaczyński for the word [penis].
The 23-year-old Marek was traced by an investigator from the Katowice police office. The young developer was using his home computer, which was found using man’s IP address. Reportedly, the man was testing the software for several months before being found.
Of course, having said this, I would like to nominate the President of Poland as President Penis. May he lead all penises (penii?) until his own falls off–which I’m sure it will since the charges were pursued.
Earlier this year Google stated they had minimized the impact of Googlebombs.
